Christie Downs Community House provides activities for the community members of all ages and to establish mechanisms to allow greater participation for older people, those from non-English backgrounds, aboriginals and those with disabilities and mental health issues. We provide a welcoming and caring venue where all community members can participate social, recreational and educational opportunities for learning, sharing skills and networking. We foster a healthier community by addressing and responding to community needs. We involve local residents in the planning, provision and evaluation of all activities. We provide a supportive environment where local residents can be involved in a voluntary role that is powerful and meaningful. We foster community spirit.
