| Vines Golf Club of Reynella
The Vines Golf Club of Reynella situated at the gateway of the Southern (Fleurieu Peninsula) Vineyard Region, The Vines Golf Club of Reynella has a strong link to this famous vine growing area - the first vines grown in the Colony of South Australia were planted nearby at Reynella in 1838.
As a former vineyard in the 1920's and 30's the Course was developed and opened in 1964, recently celebrating the 40th Anniversary at the present site although the Club was established in 1925.
The playing layout of 18 holes is flanked on three sides by native bush reserves, providing a `rural outlook,' yet being within the metropolitan area, 20km from the city centre. Fairways of modern hybrid couch (Santa Ana) and pure Bent greens are the dominant grasses - the greens acknowledged as Championship standard. - Read more
